Allure Laser Hair Removal is pleased to announce they are now offering Laser Treatment in their Derry, NH office for:

Pigmented Lesions
Pigmented lesions occur due to the accumulation of excess melanin in our skin. Melanin is the substance that gives skin its color and causes people to “tan.” Some individuals are born with various birthmarks, while others acquire them with age. Women may also acquire pigmented lesions with pregnancy, childbirth, oral contraceptives, or estrogen replacement therapy. Build up of melanin can result in freckles, flat brown birthmarks, liver or age spots, café-au-lait spots which may vary in color from light brown to dark brown with smooth or irregular borders.

Traditional methods for the removal of pigmented lesions include camouflage makeup, dermabrasion, chemical peels, and surgical excision. Recently several lasers have been developed that treat these unwanted pigmented lesions.

A laser is a concentrated beam of light that is aimed at the skin. The lasers used to treat pigmented lesions target the melanin in these lesions. The melanin is vaporized into much smaller molecules that are then absorbed and removed by the body. The procedure typically takes less than fifteen minutes.

Removing Lines and Wrinkles
As we get older, lines, wrinkles and sun spots develop over time. Laser wrinkle removal therapy can improve your complexion by reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

During laser therapy, your specialist will use a hand-held laser to remove the top layer of skin. For the best results, you may need a course of treatments, or your specialist may recommend that you use other treatments in combination with laser therapy.

After your wrinkle removal treatment, you'll be given careful instructions on how to care for your skin while it heals itself. It is very important to avoid sun exposure after treatment by wearing sunblock every day for six months after treatment.

*Laser wrinkle removal can reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. However, the effect wears off gradually so you will need to repeat treatments to maintain results.
